Geometric Portraits

I think that facial expressions are universal but it is based on what peoples faces appear as and a article written by Paul Ekman and Dacher Keltner about Are facial expression universal. In this article it talks about how and what are facial expressions along with are they universal. There are six different types of emotions happiness, sadness, fear, anger, surprise and disgust. Many people show different emotions or expressions every day. Each expression shows how you are filling and what is happening.

In are new class project which is called Low Poly Portraits we first started with taking our portraits and even on ever side. Our next step was to centre are portraits in photoshop with the layer size. Next we locked are image layer so we couldn't move it and make a mistake. Then we made a line in the middle of are face because we only are doing one side then copying and flipping the copy to make it easier. Final we get to start making triangles and only triangles. You want to outline the side of your face then make triangles with your hair, mouth, eye, nose, ear and skin. Once you are done with that you need to make a copy of your portrait and then you need to use the polygonal lasso tool and trace those triangles on the outside so that you have no gapes. Final you need to flip your image and  match those right and left sids together.

During my project of Low Poly I tried to do my best but It was my first time doing this type of work. In my Low poly-1 I really need to work on a lot of things but during my Low Poly-2 I did have some problems but I fixed them and I really think that I did much better then my first Low Poly.  My low poly-1 had a lot of work that could have been better but it was my first time doing this, after I knew what I need to work on I really Improved my work and made it look much better even though I had some places that could have been better. In caparison of my Low Poly-1 and my Low Poly-2  I really think that I improved my work by a lot. In both of my Low poly project I really improved my face and facial features in my Low Poly-2 then in my Low Poly-1.

Verbal Landscapes

When I go outside to play me and my sister like to help my mom with are garden by watering it and putting new seeds in the ground. My mom has a lot of work so my sister and I help pull out weeds along with watering. Another way I interact with nature is when I go to the beach because I go surf and play there a lot. When ever I go to the beach or somewhere else I always have to pick a piece of trash or I feel just weird.Another way I interact with nature is when I go on a hike or bike ride, I love going on hikes because I feel like I can touch the sky because I'm so high up.

Timelapses are created by a normal video mode then in Final cut pro there is a retime editor that helps with slowing and speeding up your clips of video. With the retime editor you can make your clips as fast as you can like 5000 for speeding up a clip. For videoing you clips you need to keep the camera still because then if it moves it will be shaky when you make it a timelapses or slow-mo. In Final cut pro there is a on the left side of the screen that helps with reversing an slowing and speeding up different parts of your video clip.

In my Retime nature video one of my hardest parts was filming my timelapses because you camera has to stay still all through the time that you are filming. When you are done with the timelapses it is worth waiting because it will be your good timelapses video when you are done. In the Retime nature project my favorite part was editing and making the clips faster and slower to make the clips work with the amount of time that you have. Another hard part is getting the volume level the same with the rest of my audio. One other part that was one of my favorite things in the project was filming some parts because I saw the sunrise and sunset during this project.

In are critique session 13 people voted mine as exemplary and my classmates voted my retime nature video as 2nd place with Alexander Henriques. I was surprised that I got a lot of votes for exemplary in are class critique. In my video there were still some shots that were shake that I could of fixed. During are class critique I thought that I would have gotten three's with the shake shots but I fixed them as much as I could. When people were taking the time to grade mine I was really scared and surprised that mine was the tied with someone else's work or video but I agree because I put in my time and hard work to make it my best in the time I was given. 

Poetic Personal Statement

Poetry is what you might be feeling inside, that you write down on something.  I think that poetry can be made into a song, such as a love songs or rap. People might say that that poetry is rhyming but it is a a way of expressing your inner feelings of  a person . Adults usual write poetry if their stressed about something. Poetry can sometimes express your feelings, emotions and personal goals in your lifetime.  

As the night sky roles around up so high, my fears turn into dreams.

When I see Nature theres always different behaviors.

When ever I fall deep asleep I think of the sea.

I'm always inspired by my drawing.

My friends are on their way, for me I stay in the bay.

In the ocean I can feel the way of the motion.

If I have a chance I get up and dance.

If i'm in a wave a have to be brave

Under the palm trees that's where I leave all my worries

The reason why I used rhythm in my Poetic Personal Statement project was because it relates to my life and who I am. Another reason why I used rhythm and rhyme was because it is can relate of how I have been living my life. In my Poetic Personal Statement project It can relate to how I feel. One other reason why I used rhythm I'm my project was because it could carry on how my life will be through the years.

Music Video Finale

 My group and I have made are music video about the song Dangerous Women by Ariana Grande. In my team I have Raja Counts, Issac Dubey and Miranda Duarte  Are plan was to make our music video about a business meeting the all the girls are going crazy and there is only one boy who can stop all of this madness with the girls. The song that we are doing has a lot of emotional parts so we were trying to make it relate with the emotions. Many people might think that it " Ow Ariana Grande whats next" well my team and I though that it would be appropriate If we made it as a business meeting and one girl is getting stressed out because of the boss. Then that one girl rubes of the stress all on other people (girls).

In my music video there are some fast shot types, but my favorite is the place were a girl is getting infected my two other girls. I think the reason that I like that part is because it is where there are many different places of shots that come together to make that type of scene that is made as one. Some of those shots are wide, close and medium shots in that one verse of song. It is where the shots are in a different color then the other shots. Another reason why this is one of my favorite fast shot scene is because it has different kinds of moment in faces and walking.

This music video showcases are best work this year because there are many things in my team's and my video with different kinds of shot types. Many of the shots have different themes in them, some are the same but others aren't. Miranda and Raja were the main people who edited wile Issac and me did the photo shop title page. The things in are video have to do with different kind of shot techniques and shot sizes, like wide, medium and close. Our music video has different color scenes in the middle and end.

Animated Life Lessons

In this new project of animation I have three other teammates their names are Cephas, Taylor, Ella and me. Cephas is the team leader, his character trait that was one of the humorous one in are group. Taylor's character trait is very neat and a "CLEAN FREAK" she was the one to get just a small or large mess even if it was TINY. Ella was the weird one of the four friends. She liked to try and do other things but she was always falling at every thing. On the other hand I was the shy one but very serious. Part of are story is to teach others to be their self because it's okay to be you, your true self.The four of us are different and we want to be just NORMAL but we learned that it's normal to be you.

Are group is trying to make are animation video humorous because there are funny characters which try to help cheer people up. We tried to make this humorous because there are different kinds of funny character traits in each of them. My group is trying to teach people a lesson in life like to be normal in your own way. The whole point is to teach people it's okay to be yourself. We tried to see what problem is effected in are community. People should always end their own self even if you think you should change.

Even though my team and I had never worked with each other we did good but had some hard problems in the animation project. One of are most biggest challenge was the "PUPPET WARP". The puppet warp was hard because there was a lot of movement that had to be done. Another challenge in are time was that some people in my group didn't show up during there recess and lunch to just help the team. Are best time during the project was the editing in I-movie because we got to work together and it was fun in a way that we worked together. 

Character Development

 People see me as funny because of the way I am and because I laugh all the time to make people happy in the inside. Also other people see me as smart because of my grades but it easy is to be smart you just be kind to everyone around you and study so you can find the correct answers to tests or quizzes. I would say that I am responsible, kind, caring, smart and a good friend. I think that I have a humorous imperfection because I like to make other people laugh at school and at my house. I love to make people laugh because makes them feel really good inside.

Since I am shy then make animation of myself should be quiet, like the shy person I am. I like to make people laugh so part of my animation should be a little giggly. Another character trait I have is jumping because I can be really jumpy and other times I'm not. My animation is smiling because I like to smile all the time but sometimes I don't because like I said I "shy".

First my process was going a little slow so I came in during my free time to work on it, so I got caught up to the project. It was hard at first but when you see it or do it a lot it becomes easier. My friends helped me when I needed it the most. A lot of my time ways most put to this project as well has some of my other projects that were hard. I had to look at some of the tutorials to help me because it was a hard thing to do but at the same time it was easy.

 The keywords that my team and I made with are Focus statement was real so that it went with the the BIG statement. It is about gymnastics so w have keywords that resemble to gymnastics. Are keywords really connect with the story we tell. I think that It is going to become really fun to use these tips of keywords. The keywords that we made were related to all the things we do in are movie here are some.

 With my team and I we thought of some types of messages that were related to are focus statement. We wanted to send a strong message to are audience. Also we wanted to use all of are ideas and make one great message or purpose to are audience. I think that we did a great message to send to are audience for are movie trailer because it to lots of thought into it and we had a lot of things that would work but it didn't. Are message can can change the way you feel when watching movie trailer. 

One of are biggest challenge was are audio because we didn't want it to high and we didn't want high wind in are movie trailer. We had other challenges but we could fix them easier then are audio. Some of are other challenges was a part of are film when Seline shows Coral how to do the bars. It was another hard thing to do because she doesn't have bars like me so she doesn't practice has much as I do. We did some different things to try and some helped with are different challenges but some didn't.   

 

Tiny Spherical Worlds

 Composite images have to have more than one picture because it helps to see things that you might not see with only one picture. It also helps with techniques in different photos. The composite image has to have more pictures then just one because It makes the picture or image fuller than one image. Also one image is not enough but when you have multiple pictures it makes it more meaningful to the subject. They also show more depth and feeling to the subject.

 The difference between polar and spherical is that polar is like a planet and spherical is like a a snow glob or a world inside a planet. You have to take different angle pictures for each one, for polar you use horizontal images and spherical use vertical images. Polar you have to turn the merged image upside down and spherical you don't turn it. Polar uses more steps then spherical to make the different images types. If you put a picture of yourself it will look like on the polar you are standing on your planet and with spherical it will look like you are standing in the planet around you.

 I think that my tiny world is convincing because I put a lot of thought into the tiny world of mine. There is also a picture of me on it because it looks like I am the ruler of it. The tiny world I made is convincing because I followed all of the steps as best as I can. Also I think it is convincing because I used the stamp tool in Photoshop to help me make the line that was in the middle less see able. I think that my tiny world is convincing because I used my classmates for help if I needed any. I think that my tiny world it convincing because it has a lot of meaning in it.Another reason I think that my tiny world is convincing because the colors on it shiny bright with the background.

Hockney Style Joiners

  My new GT project is on photomontage and so my class and I have partners and so we take pictures of each other. My photomontage is different from David Hockney's photomontage because he has more experience and I have were little. Also David Hockney has his on type of style in his own way. Mine is using less pictures and David used lots in some of his work. He has different feeling that I might not have. Also David Hockney has done this type of work almost his whole life.

Images can send positive or negative messages from the way you think of the photo. A storm may send a negative message because it's sad that you can't have a beautiful day outside instead of inside. The way the object or subject is placed can send a message of what you see in the picture. In a picture the way the frame looks. Color is also a way of seeing if it is positive or negative. Action can make a photo see positive or negative because of the feeling of the action.

 For my audience to see that I may have had some hard times and some good times in this project. I also want them to see why this project helps me with and for my final I want them to see why the image is very important. The photomontage my message that I try to send is that my picture is positive and a little negative. I wish that in my two photomontages it will inspire other people to keep trying and to try and do the things that you wish to do. A message that I want to send out is to see the different layers in images, even if it's a flat image.

2016 Aspirations

This year I am going to set 5 different goals that are not the same from last year. My first goal is to do my classwork as good as I can and finish it early so It will be done. Another one is to try very hard to become a better photographer. I will try to talk louder in all my classes but that might be hard for me. In my classes a goal for me can be to raise my hand and read or answer the questions with out the teachers saying to read or answer. The last goal I have is to type faster on a computer and to write nicer. Some other goals I want to attain this year is to keep my grades all A's for all of my classes. Other goals out of school are to surf bigger waves and eat less junk food so that means eat more health foods like vegetables and fruit.

 I think out of all my goals I think doing my homework and classwork done early. I think that this is my most important goal because I like finishing early so I don't get so angry at myself for not doing it earlier. Also this goal is good for me to finish it early but also have more time to check it a lot. So this goal is really important because of the way it can work in many ways but also people could make this as a goal for them self. So these are most of the reasons that I think this is a good goal.

 To get my goal to be set for everyday I will start for doing it everyday but If I don't I will start It again. So to start it again I would do it ones a week. When I get better then I will to every other day. Then, When I do the other things almost everyday then I will try to do it everyday for school. If that doesn't work then I will try it over and do it longer. When I try this challenge it Should help me grow with my other goals. If I would like  to reach my goal I could start putting a reminder on my phone or iPad so that I can remind myself to do that important goal everyday. If I keeps on not working then I could try to do a different goal that is a little easier.
