Music Video Finale

P3T1 Faded from Kapaa Middle School MEDIA on Vimeo.

We have just started a new project, it's called the Music video Project. I have teamed up with Danielle Gunn, Alexis Chatfield, and Seline Gage. We have chosen the song Faded by Alan Walker. My team and I have chosen this song because it has been in are minds for some time. It starts of sad but then the person found his old home at the end so be decided to go with a lost theme. Some of us didn't agree with the song chose.

The storyline of my team and my music video is about friends being lost or got separated from each other. The beginning is a group of friends in a forest walking then two of us went another way and then others went the other way. In the middle we are walking from different areas of the beach and try to find each other. At the end we found each other swimming in the ocean. We start to become happy again now that we found each other. During some of the scene we will be lip syncing to the music and have emotion.

During this final project of the 2016-2017 G.T school year I want to showcases the best of my ability in this project with the highest quality. In this project I was assigned to edit so I have added different camera angels with some movement but most nice steady camera. The lighting of this project will not be dark but still not that blinding bright. It will showcase a story of theme that we have chosen to go along with this music video. We want to put in different layovers of effects to make it look like a real nice job done music video.

Song Artist: Alan Walker
Song: Faded (0:00-2:00)
You were the shadow to my light
Did you feel us
Another start
You fade away
Afraid our aim is out of sight
Wanna see us
Alive
Where are you now
Where are you now
Where are you now
Was it all in my fantasy
Where are you now
Were you only imaginary
Where are you now
Atlantis
Under the sea
Under the sea
Where are you now
Another dream
The monsters running wild inside of me
I'm faded
I'm faded
So lost
I'm faded
I'm faded
So lost
I'm faded
These shallow waters, never met
What I needed
I'm letting go
A deeper dive
Eternal silence of the sea
I'm breathing
Alive
Where are you now

Movie Trailer Premier

P3T5_A Mermaids Tale from Kapaa Middle School MEDIA on Vimeo.

In class we are currently working on our own creative Movie Trailer. This is a team assignment so I have teamed up with Raja Counts, Alexis Chatfield and Viora Yamamoto. We have decided to Mermaid story and this is a 90-120 second trailer about are idea. In this team work project I have worked on a lot of the plan to make sure that every thing works well to get it done and as great as possible. Along with this project we have to use composition techniques that can help you with your photograph. It will also help us with filming are videos for the project.

Even though this is a fun project there still are some problems that come and we have to solve. One challenge is when we have to meet up because some people can't meet up for some reason. Another challenge was that the poster wasn't looking right. A success that we have had was that the film has be turning out just like we planned it to be and it looks really good. Another really good success is that all of are film was done early so that if we missed or have to re film to make a shot look better we will have enough time to do it. This was a great project and I loved working with new people during  this project.

We are slowly starting to exit this project but before we do we needed to have are whole class to critique or grade on each teams movie trailer. When it was my teams and my turn to present are work the class gave us a 3 out of 4 (3/4). I can understand why we got that grade because it wasn't the best quality like we should have done and it wasn't above and beyond. We got "All Expectations Met" which is pretty good. In the future I would like for us to work even harder and better then we did to get that amazing 4/4.

Metamorphosis Animation

P3T3 Metamorphosis from Kapaa Middle School MEDIA on Vimeo.

During this new project with metamorphosis animation my team and I have a goal to be on task and not fall behind on any animation time. In this project I am teamed up with Danielle Gunn and Aftan Dodd and we have picked two main ideas called Seahorse Changes Attitude and Petal Develops Beauty.  Also we will be using a new animation type named Stykz. An goal that my team and I will have is maybe to make the animations that we create as nice as we can. Our main goal for this project to make the animation as smooth and well as we can. Also we don't want an stick people or characters in are story or animation.

Are focus statement is Seahorse Changes Attitude and it means that people can change in different ways, like there attitude. There is two characters the main character is Joe who changes and the other Character is Fred who is nice and helps other people. The plot of this story is Joe is very Selfish and doesn't appreciate what he is living though, also he is very mean and everyone wants him to leave the reef they live in. Then when Joe leaves the reef then he moves to a dirty reef where he meets a seahorse named Fred. Fred wants to be friends with Joe so he give Joe a Soup but Joe doesn't want it so he slams it on the ground. Joe gets hurt and then turns into a seahorse and he learns to be kinder and appreciate the way he is living.
The results that my team and I got was a ¾ from are class for our Metamorphosis Animation. I agree with the class because it wasn't the best but we still did our best that we could. There was some things that didn't match and some shots were shaky. Also I think the class gave us that score because it was a little dark in some shots but I really think that we did good. I think that the class gave us a good grade for my team and I, because it was good quality even though we had some very hard problems though out our production time. In our video we meet all of the requirements for our video like time, shots & scenes, foley, soundtrack. We also meet all of the deadlines on time and with good quality.  Some of our problems was that we had to change some scenes to match the video. Also I had to make a lot more scenes for other people but it turned out really good.
